I’ve taken to doing a light 20 minute stretch routine in the evenings before I go to bed. One of the main problems I’ve found while working out is when I lay flat on my back, straighten my leg and go to lift it in the air my leg starts to shake. The stretch doesn’t hurt in any way so I think that either a) I’m doing something wrong or b) I’m just weak in that area and need to keep practicing.
Also, I’ve found if I use a robe belt as a yoga strap to hold the same position not only does my leg not shake but I am able to settle deeper into the stretch. Would using the belt be better for me or would it only be hindering the strengthening of my leg muscles?
I’ve got an athletic build, but i’m not athletic in any way at all. I’m looking for some dumbell techniques so that i can buff up before summers’ end. Any Ideas?
