Every time I try to squat, I always get pain in my groin. I’ve looked at the technique on sites over and over again. It seems like I’m doing it right, but I keep getting pain in my groin. I need some advice on what I could be doing wrong and how to avoid injury to my goin, cause I do not want that to happen. thanks

I am in college, and live on campus. Since our campus is so huge, students frequently have to rely on the campus shuttle buses to get us back and forth to our destinations. Some of the shuttle bus drivers are nice, but some of them are just downright nasty. There is a girl that lives here in my dorm who is handicap and in a weelchair, and has to rely on the buses to get her back and forth to her destination. She doesn’t have a motorized wheelchair, and is often too weak to roll her own chair long distances, so she has no choice but to ride the buses. Unfortunately the drivers that drive the shuttle bus on the route she has to take, are very mean to her. They will make up excuses as to why they can’t pick her up, and often lie about the lift on the bus for wheelchairs being messed up, so that they don’t have to get their lazy selves out of the bus to help her wheel her chair onto the lift. She also has to be strapped in at the back of the bus so as not to fall, and this also
is why they don’t want to pick her up. So they make excuses, and page other bus drivers to come get her, sometimes letting her sit out waiting for long periods of time. My friend and I know this girl, and we also know the one NICE bus driver that actually cares about this girl, and takes the time to pick her up and help her onto the bus with her chair. The driver was recently very angry because she says the girl was waiting outside one NIGHT alone and the bus driver that drives along her route made an excuse as to why she couldn’t pick the girl up, and so the girl had to wait for a long time outside by herself, so that they could page someone to come and pick her up. This is all because they are being lazy and she is actually not the only handicapped person they do this too. I truly wish I was lying or making this up, but in this case I am not. I think it is very sad, and have no idea what to do. What can we do? My friend is talking about writing about it in the paper.
People have complained and the manager told the drivers that it doesn’t matter what route it is, if they see her they need to pick her up and take her where she needs to go. Unfortunately, they don’t listen and it is STILL going on. This has been happening for months now.
Nope the drivers aren’t students. They are all older adults and the school has a contract with the company they work for.
And sorry for just referring to her as “the girl” I was just pretty pissed when writing. Her name is Jill. ![]()
I can’t decide a best answer because you have all been very helpful. I’m going to put it to a vote and thank you. My friend and I are going to do whatever we can to help her out of this situation.
I haven’t done pushups in years and now that i’m doing them again I keep messing up. I know i’m breathing wrong but it’s hard for me not to do it any way but this. I don’t breath as I am going down or up then I take a heavy breath as I am in the starting position again. I have tried breathing as I was going up and down but it seems to just mess me up and then I can’t do any more pushups
www.kbandstraining.com It’s very important to squat properly when working out. Bad form can lead to knee pain. When squatting you must first kick your hips back and sink to the parallel position. Knees must stay behind your toes throughout the entire squat. Working out with resisted squats can burn calories and and strengthen your legs. Squats are great for toning your butt and thighs.
Mike demonstrates how to execute the basic bench press while Jeremy talks you through the key points. The bench press works primarily the pectoral muscles, then the anterior deltoids, and finally the triceps. You can alter your grip and bar positioning at bottom of the movement or change the angle to hit certain muscles over the others. Go in a decline position with a normal grip and you start working your lats. The traditional bench press in the video is a basic gym free weight compound movement. The working joints are the elbow and shoulder joints while the wrist acts as the stabilizing joint. Be sure not to arch your lower back. Thats just cheating and hazardous to your lumbar spine. You're actually gonna wanna have the lower back pushed into the bench slightly to help hit that chest even deeper and work that full range of motion in the shoulder joint. if you have shoulder issues, be sure to gradually and lightly work your way through a greater range of motion from top to bottom each time you train any of the muscles controlling the shoulder joint (pecs, lats, deltoids, etc..) Remember, the smarter you lift, the longer you'll be able to lift
I’m only 15 years old,110lbs, and 5″5. I don’t want to start weightlifting yet, because I am too young and small. I want to get a bit stronger. Would I get stronger in a month or two by doing 110 pushups everyday? Also, what else will happen if I do 110 pushups, and take 1 protein shake a day? Would my pecs or shoulder muscles increase?
