www.theAllHealthNetwork.com The trunk and core muscles are one of the most neglected areas when people are working out. I have a designated day specifically for working my core. This includes abs, lower back and doing obliques. Another part that doesn’t get worked out is the group of muscles that are commonly known as stabilizers. These are worked concurrently when someone works out with free weights, but since many people use machines, the stabilizers are neglected. Balance is needed in your workout to hit these two essential areas.

Sometimes, I dont take only a shoulder-width grip while bench pressing. I take a very wide grip- in such a way that my chest muscles stretch when I spread out my hands to take the grip. Doing this, I can still bring the bar very low without hurting my shoulders. Will this grip help me engage my chest muscles more during bench press? I have a feeling that doing this will put a lot of weight on my chest instead of my shoulders, thus help me develop my pectorals.
Thanks.

I’ve taken to doing a light 20 minute stretch routine in the evenings before I go to bed. One of the main problems I’ve found while working out is when I lay flat on my back, straighten my leg and go to lift it in the air my leg starts to shake. The stretch doesn’t hurt in any way so I think that either a) I’m doing something wrong or b) I’m just weak in that area and need to keep practicing.

Also, I’ve found if I use a robe belt as a yoga strap to hold the same position not only does my leg not shake but I am able to settle deeper into the stretch. Would using the belt be better for me or would it only be hindering the strengthening of my leg muscles?

And what are some good ways to improve bench press? I’m a 17 year old girl and I can already bench 135 with hardly any strength training, but I want to see how strong I can get. So what can I do to improve my bench press?

or suppose to feel? because i just fell my shoulders

I’ve been having some shoulder pain with heavy benching. I think it’s rotator cuff pain from poor form (initially), and from imbalance in the joint. Which back/shoulder muscles are necessary to work in addition to those worked by the bench press to prevent shoulder injury?

Like if you could explain different ways besides just curling them….
