And id perfer not to do pullups.
I keep hearing its bad for boxers to lift weights, I box amateur and I always lift but I got guys in the gym telling me im too bulky and its going to ruin my stamina in a 3x to 3x bout. Is this true? Should I stop benching and squatting and stick to push ups and pull ups? Or is it okay to still lift? Will it affect me in a match?

In my gym i always see people bench pressing through free weighs (oftern without anyone spotting) and not the bench press machine. Why is this? I use the machine, and generally go until I can’t lift the weight any more, which would be impossible with free weights without a spotter. So why do people use free weights for their bench press?

I am getting back into workign out and I wanted to know which weights are better. Free or machines?
