I have a police officer physical test in about a month and half and i need to increase my max bench press. Not a large amount but i do need some gain… Should I take any supplements to help and if yes then what one?

My son is sophmore defensive end/ offensive guard 6’4′ 260lb football player and has got letters from some very good universities. He is going to start attending combines. Has explosiveness and work ethic but lacks strength in the 225lbs bench press. He has tried every bench workout routeen but still has 175lb kids doing twice as many reps as him at same age. Right now only 6. Can someone please give me a legitament workout for him?

Im 15, 5’8, i just started working like 2 weeks ago and im not very good at the bench press. My current max is 120 and i would like to know if anybody had tips on increasing it. I also take whey protein and I was wondering if anybody knew when the best time was to drink it and how many scoops.

I’ve been working out for about 12 weeks now, and I thought I had plateaued. But all of a sudden, my estimated bench press max shot up from 170 lbs to 200 lbs in a week. Is this normal?

I seemed to have stalled at 225 for 5 reps and having trouble going up in weight/reps. I do not take any supplements. I do 4 sets of flat (205×10, 215×8, 225×5, 235×3). These numbers have been like this for a while and don’t seem to be improving. I’m starting to think about taking some supplements cause its getting sad that I can’t go up. Any recommendations on how to increase my bench?

we just started lifting at summer football camp.

I’m looking to increase my maximum Bench Press weight as well as my maximum Leg press.
This is to get into the State Highway Patrol.
I’ll need to put up one rep of each.

Will I want to do a few reps of a lot of weight or a lot of reps of a lower weight? (I’m assuming I’ll want few reps of more weight)
Should I stick to doing as many reps as I can of just the bench press and leg press?
Or are there other exercises that I should mix in that would help out in those two ‘events’?

I guess I said it best in my first question: “what is the fastest/most effective way to increase the amount I can lift in each?”
Also, I’ll need to do as many pushups and sit-ups in a minute as i can possibly do.
Any tips on either of these besides just working my tail off?
Will I want to stick to minute long sessions of pushups and sit-ups, or will I want to focus on getting as many in per day as I can using smaller sets?

Hopefully everybody else understands what I’m trying to say. And thanks a lot for any input at all.
