They are constantly strained and forced to adapt to increase loads. As a result, poor recovery will damage gains in both the short and long term. Now if you train anything like us, the legs really take the ultimate beating. Squats, dead lifts, walking lunges, prowler, serious 6’s, and many more exercises really put a great deal of stress on the legs (and are awesome!!) Solution Use a simple cyrotherapy technique that has been applied by doctors since the 1950’s to treat over use and soft tissue injury. According to Cyrotherapy in Sports Injury Managment: “It is proposed that applying cooling to a musculoskeletal injury decreases the tissue temperature, resulting in diminished pain, cellular metabolism, and muscle spasm, thus minimizing the inflammatory response and improving recovery after soft tissue trauma . Ice, although predominantly used in injury management, can also reduce the pain associated with the micro-trauma of regular exercise. This microtrauma is due to an accumulation of loading forces on the same musculotendinous unit …

Im 15, 5′8, i just started working like 2 weeks ago and im not very good at the bench press. My current max is 120 and i would like to know if anybody had tips on increasing it. I also take whey protein and I was wondering if anybody knew when the best time was to drink it and how many scoops.
I’ve been working out for about 12 weeks now, and I thought I had plateaued. But all of a sudden, my estimated bench press max shot up from 170 lbs to 200 lbs in a week. Is this normal?
I seemed to have stalled at 225 for 5 reps and having trouble going up in weight/reps. I do not take any supplements. I do 4 sets of flat (205×10, 215×8, 225×5, 235×3). These numbers have been like this for a while and don’t seem to be improving. I’m starting to think about taking some supplements cause its getting sad that I can’t go up. Any recommendations on how to increase my bench?
we just started lifting at summer football camp.
