I am trying to decide between 2 different sizes of PFDs (same style). It’s for dragon boating so comfort is a factor.
The smaller one is definately snug, and passes the lifting test. But, it does feel small (pressure when breathing) and the padding gets in the way when I go through a paddling motion.
The medium sized one also passes the lifting test. But, in order to get it to the correct snug level, the straps get tightened to the point where the 2 sides of the PFD overlaps in the front by about an inch. And the padding doesn’t seem to get in the way as much.
Is it okay to have the overlap?
Thanks!

Why do musicians have those speakers sitting in front of them that point right back at them?
I used to think it was to hear the rest of the band but am not so sure any more. I’ve sat in many a rowdy hall where the band had nothing but mikes in front of them. I’ve also seen several times where a guy and a guitar are on stage alone with one of those speakers in front of him.
I’ve had my tongue pierced for four years. In the last 6 months I’ve noticed that my front bottom row of teeth has shifted forward and now have a couple gaps behind them. You can’t see it when I smile or talk, but it still worries me that it’s going to get worse.
Do you think this is happening because of the tongue ring or something else? (I do not have wisdom teeth on the bottom so it’s not that.)
Anyone else had this happen to them?
doing some exercises. these are 12 KG dumbells only, will post heavier ones later.
Front Squatting 385 lbs (175 kg) for 1 rep. Personal record!
I don’t have a squat rack so I can’t do back squats. However I am able to do front squats. Im just wondering if they both have the same result and which one do you prefer and why? Thanks to everyone who answer
This is our 4th week of lifting for the 2010-2011 season. Today is Front Squat maxing day! We shoot for a weight that the athlete can rep 2-5 times and then calculate a theoretical 1-rep max. This weight is then used for writing future workouts. I’m very proud of the work these ladies have done so far this year.

315 x 1 paused front squat, narrow stance, toes slightly flared. 04/01/2008. I’m not comfortable with a crossed-arms grip or a clean grip. Instead, I add lifting straps to the barbell so that I can hold the barbell in a “modified” clean position, without the uncomfortable feeling of hyperextending my wrists. If you look closely, when I step out of the rack and get into position, you can see my elbows sticking out from behind the plates and the position of my fists.
