I have been doing a lot of pushups lately, because I was told they help strengthen your pectoral muscles. I’ve been doing them two different ways: with my hands directly below my shoulders, and with my hands a few inches away from my shoulders. After I’m done, my biceps are really sore and tight, but my pecs don’t feel like they got much of a workout. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

when ur doing pushups do u have ur hands close to each other or far from each other???
its better for ur chest when they’re close to each other, BUT its better for ur arms when they’re far from each other.
right?

I need to start benching again so I started to do pushups recently. How much weight would that be?

Any tips on general free weight exercises would be welcome.

I also alternate between 75 sit ups one day and 75 leg lifts the next with the push ups.

What I want to know is.. How much stronger will this make my arms?
I do 75 pushups 6 days a week, and I don’t think it is overtraining bc I have a physical job, and I think my muscles have adapted to healing faster, if that’s possible.
Yeah I want to know if I ill notice a big improvement in strength in say 3 months.

Also will it help build any muscle and make my arms look leaner or is it to small of an amount of weight?

I go to the gym every other day and I have the same workout every time. I’ve been going for about a month now and sometimes when I’m doing the bench press my left bicep starts to hurt. (not burn though). Why would that happen? Oh, and sometimes I feel it hurt in the back of fmy arm bear my triceps too.
Ok but for the protein- would a protein shake be better or would just meat be better?
