I’m confused! I just starting working out with free weights and i see some people doing them slowly and then i see some people lifting them fast like maniacs! Can someone please explain to me what’s the best way to do this? Fast or Slow? And what are the benefits to either?

I can’t change my industrial barbell yet but I would like to get some new balls for the one I have in. Will the spikes and balls sold with a circular barbell fit on my industrial barbell if its the same gauge?
