i didnt know the … i didnt know the knees should follow the toes, no wonder ive always felt ackward, luckily i just started squatting, so im doing light weight,
I would go along … I would go along with that answer. Hard to judge a parallel squat in shorts though. That is why lifting comps require you to wear a singlet so you can see the hip and knee clearly. Great power though, I can’t handle that weight yet.
no it clearly … no it clearly wasn’t deep enough for a meet standards, mostly because of his form not his strength. He pushing knees forward instead of opening up allowing him to go lower. He obviously very strong since can pull 655 and handle 600+ on his back pretty easily. But in terms of judging the squat from a weightlifting meet perspective it was high and would not count.
He could get a … He could get a little lower? Yea right dude, when you’ve got 635 pounds on your shoulders, you could really give two about going half an inch lower
It’s looks to me … It’s looks to me that his hips are in line with his knees which would make it a parallel squat. Either way I can’t do it do it… Lol good job
Has anyone noticed … Has anyone noticed this is not a squat? He bends his knees forward WAY beyond his toes, he only goes halfway, or a third to parallel. Yeah i can squat half a metric ton this way.
and im a fairly … and im a fairly short dude myself, being 5″7′, and i wasnt that strong freshmen year and have increased trmendously to being one of the stringest seniors in my grade by CONSISTENT LIFTING
depends on your … depends on your body structure. most people who are above 6 feet are fairly skinny etc. but on average smaller people have an easier time. but when you want to get the bigger weight up and if you train 24/7 then being tall is good.
Nice strength. Do … Nice strength. Do a quick utube search for SQUATPRECISION. This develops absolute maximum pound, legal depth, one rep squats. Check it out.
Im gonna have to … Im gonna have to agree with Squirt on the height thing with it being harder to powerlift. I mean he named some legit negatives and your pros arent really that legit. Tall = more weight to stabilize. I mean I dont that doenst really sound like a good point.

parallel squat is when the hip breaks the plane. It doesn’t look as deep as it is because his quads are so big. Nice power man.
