good job man, respect for sure. I am sure no one on this post has the balls to get up that weight, correctly, and fuckin slay it like you have.

im switching from high bar oly style to low bar right now, or at least trying. what kind of carryover did you get from the initial switch over once you got the form down? i see you went from 440×5 to 500×5, was that purely from the lower bar placement? also, how long did it take you to feel comfortable with low bar?

i m no expert but we all know that high bars are for leg strength and low bars are for poundage. ever met an olympic lifter who trained low bar?

  • camodanny09 says:

@Lehi145 thanks for the reply. i got it figured out. my foot placment on the leg press and hack squat was too low and narrow. i adjusted and the strain is gone. i just smashed 405 ATG all the way.lol

Good amount of weight, but that dude looks like a fat slob.

  • Lehi145 says:

ATG is NOT NOT NOT any worse for your knees that anything else IF you don’t relax at the bottom, if you relax your knees at the bottom…. just don’t, cant help with the strain your feeling, practice lighter and they should loosen up if your keeping your form right

    nice..and without a spot

It’s good to see your strength going up, but i was wondering if it has improved your weightlifting total?. I am interested to know,

    Warsheeper;

I understand your argument, but I thinks its an individual thing. For some people full squats don’t hurt the knees, but for others (like me) they will kill your knees.

  • tlast2012dude says:

@camodanny09 depends on your foot placement, the closer you put them the more you will be able to go down. Also you might be feeling stain on your knees because you are not holding the weight on your heels, but on your middle foot, which make your knees hold all the weight on a bad angle. If you trace a line form your knees to the floor, the line should be parallel with your legs.

  • Warsheeper says:

flexibility, a full ATG squat is actually better for your knees than squating parallel

  • camodanny09 says:

so, stupid question…. is ATG bad for the knees? I’d like to think that i squat pretty low but at a certain point i feel the stain on my knees. flexibility issue? or just the movment?

  • richiebalz says:

    good form

  • ebutuoy88 says:

Hey, wow you’re really strong. It’s great to watch you lift. Is there really difference in depth here though? It seems you hit the same depth after?
