I am 6′2 and weigh 185 lbs. I want to be able to do 50 solid pushups by februrary of next year. What would be the ideal pushup training system in order to achieve my goal?
Also, I know that the pectoralis major is the muscle mostly involved in the pushup, but what exercise machines would increase my pectoralis major such as the fly, press, etc?
Bench press – with all the variations (incline, decline, dumbbell)
Remember your goal is muscular endurance, so more reps as compared to heavy weight is the key.
Are you using anything to boost your body?
My husband has been using this n.o.-xplode pre training energy and performance igniter. He has been using this for 2 weeks and his arm muscles are bigger and he has more energy and does more training.

i think its the triceps mostly involved. at least mine got huge when i did lots of push ups. /my top was 130 plus at 6′,175lbs./ i trained 3 times a wk. ,varied train with sets of 10,15,25 reps. and did about 100 a workout. / then i didn’t know what i know now ,so i injured myself. what i know now is not to do max. reps more than 2times a month . And in any set i can’t do a rep in good form, that i quit then to avoid injury. also when you do reps you can grip floor and you can probably do a few more than you normally could. / you should be to 50 long before Feb. with solid pushups(all the way up and down)And this is how i did it ,plenty of other ways too. good luck

Try doing 10-15 each time, then build it up . The pecdec is excellent to use with flys.
