My right arm is longer than my left arm, so it feels awkward when I try to put my two hands equally spaced from each other when I do pushups.

Would the pushups still be effective if my hands are not equally spaced, but the position is more comfortable?

with one hand behind your back, while the other is pressing down to do them.

put a ball under one of the arms and do the push up, then switch off between sets. like 10 on each one.
