Yeah, I hear ya….5 lbs over the last little while isn’t anything to write home about. But that’s okay, I am not trying to gain weight at this stage anyway. I am just trying to get stronger…

    Thanks for the support J.

    Fair enough….I …
Fair enough….I don’t think I am any “puffier” than I was last year, but whatever man….people see and think what they want to think. I don’t worry about that.

I am sure I could get over 220 lbs quite easily….I was 217 lbs in my last year of high school in much better shape (back in my bodybuilding/basketball playing days!). Now I am just old…. ha, ha…

Good pushes man your looking strong, and your actually benching unlike most of the youtubers! lol. Keep up the good work I look forward to watching your progres!s

    Also, I think you …
Also, I think you would scare people … wait let me rephrase that. I KNOW you would scare people with your lifting if you were getting help from a pharmacy. After watching your vids over the year, it is blatently obvious that you are clean and making small steps at a time.

  • jlinteris says:

    I would have to …
I would have to strongly disagree with the puffy comment. I know crushyouwithmegrip was asking an honest question, not being an but my view from watching your videos is that you are gaining size in the right places. Your chest, shoulders and arms are noticably thicker. I say push it up to 220+ over the next year. Slow and steady gains.

    con’t #2…

I have also learned to deload whenever my body feels it needs it and this has made a big difference for me. Having Mark (HHH396) and Jordan (jlinteris) kicking my has helped fuel the fire too…my ego is too BIG to let them whip me for long! Ha, ha…

I use my ego to my advantage….the stronger I get, the responses I get, which makes me want to hit the weight heavier and harder and on and on it goes….that’s the whole reason I started this YouTube thing….Thanks bro!

    So, I …
    con’t…

So, I actually noticed a big difference from the protein shakes (surprised me) and I gained about 5 lbs within the first week or two. But that’s it….I would be asking for a refund if I was using something and I only gained 5 lbs from it! Ha, ha…

My gains have been slow and steady since I started this journey back in July 2008. I would say variety and competition have been the secret to my success thus far. If you keep your body guessing – you will keep growing…

    Ha, ha…..I guess …
Ha, ha…..I guess I will take that as a compliment bro. I train as heavy as I can as often as I can, but what I do to recover is I try to keep the volume down. That way I can recover faster and train more…

Sometimes I only do one or two worksets and that’s it. Like when I hit 330 lbs for 8 reps the other day – that’s all I did.

    I look puffy? Ha, ha….

Like I mentioned about a month ago, I started taking protein shakes (3 per day – approx. 200 grams) to help me recover.

  • Crushuwithmegrip says:

    Ok explain this. …
Ok explain this. You are training extremely heavy very often. Doing bench as much as 3 times a week. You have gained some weight recently, even look a little puffy. Not that you would answer here, but are you getting help from the pharmacy?? You have all the signs of someone using. Sorry if this sounds negative. Either way, It’s not my business, and I don’t care. Nice lifting tho. Hard work is paying off.

Great job on the 375 Randy!

You really had to grind that last few rep out!

  • BRETZERR says:

    Yeah, we’ll see I …
Yeah, we’ll see I guess….I will probably try 320 to 325 lbs for 10 on my next flat bench workout. We’ll see…it’s also about time for another cambered bar workout cycle…so who knows….I will play it by ear.

  • BRETZERR says:

    That’s a great …
That’s a great point Jordan….I noticed that awhile back. But actually it worked in the opposite direction during this workout because the bands were stretched further on the 475 lb double then when I loaded up 5 plates. I am pretty sure that’s why 5 plates was sooo hard!

Thanks for pointing that out though…

  • BRETZERR says:
