A perfect example for how lifters with very long legs should lift. Calculating vertical intersect accurately was pretty difficult since the bar was at an angle and this lifter starts with the bar significantly ahead of the metatarsal phalangeal joint. First the ends of the bar needed to be located, then a line drawn between those points, the mid point of the line represents the center of the bar closest to center of feet. Then a vertical line downward from that point would represent the center bar position relative to the feet, this distance was measured. The measured distance was then taken to the end of the barbell and used to determine the proper position of the metatarsal phalangeal joint relative to the actual end of the barbell and not the camera angle.

Check it out. This machine by Eccentrixx can spot you in your bench press, squats, presses and all this stuff.. but I was just amazed at how freakin accurate it was!! Had to check out the robot at the 2010 NPC Vancouver Naturals… and WOW. We had way more fun with it after this video was recorded and that will all show up later somewhere else.. but check it out. This is the FIRST VIDEO of this machine on youtube in the WORLD… unless someone beat me and posted last night. IT WAS FREAKY AWESOME!!! Someday these could save a lot of people from injuries related to lifting. This beast can lift all you’ll need. The only old school part left about this machine is that you still have to slide the plates on.
